Property: White fine crystal. Some are light gray or buff. The relative molecular weight is 84.99 and density is 2.257. It's easy to be deliquescence and to dissolve in water and liquid ammonia, but only a little can dissolve in ethanol and glycerin. The melting point is 271°C. And decomposition temperature is 3801. Its decomposition products are sodium nitrite and oxygen. 溶解性： 1g溶于1.1ml水、0.6ml沸水、125ml乙醇、52ml沸乙醇、3470ml無水乙醇、300ml無水甲醇，還溶于液氨和甘油。

化學(xué)性質(zhì)

溶解于水時能(néng)吸收熱。加溫到380℃以上即分(fēn)解成亞硝酸鈉和氧氣，400一600℃時放出氮氣和氧氣，700℃時放出一氧化氮，775～865℃時才有(yǒu)少量二氧化氮和一氧化二氮生成。與硫酸共熱，則生成硝酸及硫酸氫鈉。與鹽類能(néng)起複分(fēn)解作(zuò)用(yòng)。是氧化劑。與木(mù)屑、布、油類等有(yǒu)機物(wù)接觸，能(néng)引起燃燒和爆炸。
